Title	Crocker Art Gallery, Sacramento, California - Sepia Tones
Date	1915
Description	This circa 1915 sepia hued postcard shows the Crocker Art Gallery at Second and O streets. To the far left is what used to be the Crocker home and what, in 1912, became part of the gallery, aptly referred to as "the annex." The annex operated ably until its closure in 1970, due to deterioration. Other parcels were added to grow the gallery, to the point where, by 1985, the gallery could claim a full block, bounded by O, P, Second and Third streets. A postage stamp is visibile on the card reading, in German, "Deutsches Reich" or "German Empire."
