This

sepia
hued
postcard
shows
the
Crocker
Art
Gallery
at
Second
and
O
streets
. To the
far
left
is
what
used
to be the
Crocker
home
and what, in
1912
,
became
part
of the
gallery
,
aptly
referred
to as "the
annex.
" The
annex
operated
ably
until
its
closure
in
1970
,
due
to
deterioration
.
Other
parcels
were
added
to
grow
the
gallery
, to the
point
where
, by
1985
, the
gallery
could
claim
a
full
block
,
bounded
by
O
,
P
,
Second
and
Third
streets
. A
postage
stamp
is
visibile
on the
card
reading
, in
German
, "
Deutsches
Reich
" or "
German
Empire.
"
