Description	An account in “Sacramento County California” printed in 1911 describes Sacramento as a city being “Pushed forward by the tremendous pressure of the richest farming area in the world.” It goes on to describe the capital city as having three tenses; past, present and future. “It holds such a strategic position that it could not stop growing if it would.” With immense rail and water traffic, the booklet goes on to discuss that Sacramento was an important retail and jobbing center. At the time of publication, the booklet claims that Sacramento was the largest California city north of San Francisco with a population numbering 44,696 according to the 1910 census. This was an increase of 15, 414 people over the figure in 1900. At the rate that the population was growing, the booklets projected growth would continue at approximately three thousand per year.
