Description	This carefully-composed picture postcard view looking west at the California State Capitol and Park was published some time before the First World War. The card features an uncommon balance in the palm trees on either side of the Capitol Building in the background and the colorful plot of plants and flowers in the foreground. Many of the palm trees originally planted in Capitol Park still thrive, but after nearly a century the exact location of this view would be difficult to determine.
