Title	Golden Parlor Portrait
Date	1948
Description	Captured on June 21, 1948, are several members of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, posing for a photograph during the group’s sixty-second annual Grand Parlor session. Subjects stand in two rows, dressed in white dresses and holding bouquets. In the background are the words “Gold Centennial” and “Grand Parlor.” The primary attraction at the statewide convention, held at the Masonic Temple, was the election of the NDGW’s next President. The Native Daughters were added in 1886 to the Native Sons of the Golden West, a group dedicated to preserving and interpreting California’s Anglo-European heritage.
