District
was
established
in
1927

after
floods
inundated
much
of the
North
Sacramento
area
. Its
charge
is
44
miles
of
levee
along
the
American
River
, the
Natomas
East
Main
Drain
,
Arcade
Creek
, and
two
other
creeks
.
