Beyond
the
power
station
, and to the
right
of the
frame
,
is
the
prison’s
original
administrative
building
. The
power
station
was
comprised
of
10,000
cubic
yards
of
granite
and
8,000
barrels
of
cement
while
the
canal’s
retaining
walls
were
built
from
solid
bedrock
from the
side
of the
hill
.
