Description	This February 4, 1933, photograph shows a nearly rennovated Yolo Causeway. Built in 1916, the structure was a two-lane, 400,000 dollar project that traversed the Yolo Bypass, eliminating the need to use a ferry to traverse the often-flooded stretch between Sacramento and the Bay Area. The photograph shows the causeway just after its transformation into a four lane operation, making it 42-feet wide. Also incorporating a pedestrian lane on its south side, the total cost for the expansion was 523,638.
