Description	This August 13, 1929, photograph shows the Del Paso Country Club's swimming pool. The 40 by 90-foot tank, with a depth of nine feet, was built for 13,500 dollars. Cleverly, the pool drained into a man-made lake that also acted as a hazard for the golf course's thirteenth hole. The 250 by 150-foot lake was dubbed Lake Morrissey, in honor of the club's outgoing president, E.J. Morrissey. The dirt which was excavated to build the pool was used to dam up a swale that ran by the thirteenth hole. The lake was then populated with mosquito fish to minimize the number of insects.
