swimming
pool
. The
40
by
90-foot
tank
, with a
depth
of
nine
feet
, was
built
for
13,500
dollars
.
Cleverly
, the
pool
drained
into a
man-made
lake
that also
acted
as a
hazard
for the
golf
course's
thirteenth
hole
. The
250
by
150-foot
lake
was
dubbed
Lake
Morrissey
, in
honor
of the
club's
outgoing
president
,
E.J
.
Morrissey
. The
dirt
which
was
excavated
to
build
the
pool
was
used
to
dam
up
a
swale
that
ran
by the
thirteenth
hole
. The
lake
was then
populated
with
mosquito
fish
to
minimize
the
number
of
insects
.
