theater

Sacramento
area

built
in the
same
year
this
photograph
was
taken
.
Built
for
130,000
dollars
, the
El
Rancho
opened
an
hour
before
darkness
on
May
29
,
1946
,
showing
two
main
features
, a
color
cartoon
and a
newsreel
. The
facility
was
closed
in the
fall
of
1963
in
favor
of a
mobile
home
park
that was to
accommodate
150
units
. The
conversion
was
done
at a
cost
of
300,000
dollars
.
