barracks

opened
in
October
1929
to a
crowd
of
over
400
horse
enthusiasts
. The
event
included
a
ceremonial
flag
raising
and
horse
show
,
featuring
over
50
area
riders
, a
polo
match
and a
tour
of the
barracks
'
French-made
75-millimeter
guns
,
machine
guns
, and
fire
control
equipment
. The
65-man
unit's
armory
was
built
in
1927
and its
stables
could
hold
50
horses
.
