Title	Cathedral of the Blessed Sacramento as Seen from the Dome of the Capitol Building
Date	1900
Description	This January 1, 1900, photograph looks northerly from the dome of the California State Capitol building toward the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament at Eleventh and K Streets. The steeple on the immediate right of the photograph is that of the Westminster Presbyterian Church at Thirteenth and K Streets. The building between the Cathedral and Westminster is Christian Brother’s College at the southwest corner of Twelfth and K Streets. Immediately behind the Cathedral is the mansard-roofed clergy residence which was built in 1889 for 25,000 dollars. Construction on the Cathedral had been completed just a decade earlier for a cost of roughly 250,000 dollars. It was dedicated on June 30, 1889.
