Description	Taken in 1947, this photograph captures the IXL Clothing Store for Men, located at 804 J Street. Founded by Harry Kaufmann in 1923, by 1986, IXL had grown into a 15 store enterprise, including locations in California, Oregon and Nevada. Until its sale in 1988, it held distinction for being one of the few employee-owned companies in Sacramento.
