Twelfth
Street
.
After
a
year-long
renovation
the
building
was
opened
for
Standard's
use
in
November
of
1942
. The
company's
Sacramento
heritage
goes
back
to
1885
,
when
the
oil
refiner
and
producer
opened
its
first
warehouse
along
the
Sacramento
waterfront
which
was
operated
by
two
men
and
two
wagons
. By the
time
this
photograph
was
taken
,
Standard's
value
was
well
over
1
billion
dollars
.
