Description	The venerable Breuner's furniture store rests at its 604 K Street location in 1945. John Breuner - after sailing around Cape Horn in the early 1850s - started his business in 1856 and it stayed in operation for over 120 years. Bruener's was responsible to for building the California State Legislatures chamber desks in 1868, which continued to be in use through 1962. "Everything for the House" was the firm's slogan, until its bankruptcy and eventual closure in 2004. Streetcar tracks running down K Street are visible in the foreground.
