Title	Sixteenth Street Bridge at Northgate
Date	1935
Description	This 1935 photograph shows the Sixteenth Street Bridge after its widening and extension. The bridge was originally constructed in 1915, spanning 600-feet of the American River bank-to-bank, for 125,000 dollars. The State of California approved 150,000 dollars for its reconstruction in 1934/35. It was reopened for travel in January of 1935. The Northgate Boulevard underpass on the north bank of the American River is visible at the bottom of the photograph.
